Pilvinen sunnuntai - Cloudy Sunday

Sää oli niin pilvinen ja pimeä, että jouduin tyytymään filminpätkään valokuvien sijaan. Niihin ei vain tuntunut olevan riittävästi valoa. Tuulta oli myös sen verran, että se kuuluu filmillä.

The weather was so cloudy and dark, that I had to settle with a short video instead of photos. There just didn't seem to be enough light for them. Wind was blowing strong enough to hear it on the video.

Place of filming is Asker Seilforening (Asker Yacht Club) in the Oslo Fjord.

Puro keskitalvella - A creek in mid-winter

Viikossa, edellisten kuvien jälkeen, pieni joki on jäätynyt lähes umpeen ja jää pitää riippuvia oksia otteessaan.

In a week, since the previous photos, the creek has frozen almost totally and ice holds the low hanging branches in its grip.

Notkossa keskipäivällä otetut kuvat näyttävät lähes mustavalkoisilta päivänvalon vähäisyyden takia. 

Pictures taken in the dell around noon look almost black and white because of the lack of light.

Voisi kuvitella olevansa kaukana korvessa, vaikka lähimmät talot ovat vain parinsadan metrin päässä. Puron kumpaakin reunaa seuraa polku ja puron yli kulkee silta vähän ennen kuin se laskee vetensä vuonoon.

You could almost imagine being deep in the woods, but in reality, the nearest houses are only couple hundred meters away. There is a path following the creek on both sides and a small bridge crossing it just before the water reaches the fjord.

Jäätä - Ice

Virtaava vesi jäätyy veteen ulottuviin puunoksiin. - Flowing water freezes in the low hanging branches.

 

Jäähelmiä puron partaalla. - Ice pearls on the verge of a creek.

Merivesi on jäätynyt rannalla ohuiksi kerroksiksi. - Seawater has frozen into thin layers on the beach.

Pakkanen ja virtaava vesi saavat aikaan kaunista jäätä.

Kuvatessa tehty huomio: Hanki kamera, jossa on parempi zoomi.

Frost and flowing water make beautiful ice.

Note to self: Get a camera with better zoom.
